Monica Cleland graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 2002. She continued on to take a wide spectrum of post-graduate courses focused on cranialsacral therapy, myofascial release, and visceral manipulation (working specifically with organ misalignment and adhesions). Monica uses a set of assessment techniques to decipher what areas of physical restriction and adhesion (several structures bound together creating density, lack of energetic flow, lack of mobility, pain, and discomfort in the body), are presenting with greatest priority. She then treats each client uniquely according to how their body will respond most comfortably toward restoring long-lasting balance in a safe, efficient, manner. When necessary Monica also draws on the important and relevant connections between physical fascial restriction and energetic blockages in the body to set an intention which combines unravelling mal-alignment of physical structures that has led to pain and discomfort, with releasing stagnant energetic buildup and congestion in the tissues themselves, allowing inherent energetic flow and fluidity to occur.
