Suzanne Crawford, RMT

Suzanne Crawford

Suzanne has been practicing massage therapy for many years. She graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in the early 80s. Her practice began in Ontario and on her return to British Columbia she opened a clinic in North Burnaby which she operated for 7 years.

During her career she has broadened her massage practice and incorporated deep tissue work, myofascial release, cranial sacral therapy, and osteopathic techniques.

Throughout her practice Suzanne has recognized that many of us experience a disconnect with our bodies, which hinders both physical and emotional healing. Therapeutic massage helps us get in touch with our bodies in a safe environment and can help us become aware of pain and discomfort before they become chronic conditions. She approaches her work with empathy and understanding, and works within the comfort level of her patients.

She believes that aging can be an exciting and healthy experience and she encourages her patients, along with having regular massage, to incorporate into their life: exercise, strength training, stretching, breathing techniques, and a good diet. Each play a large part in maintaining a well functioning body, mind and spirit.

Suzanne has been running for the past ten years and has completed several half marathons, as well as the Vancouver Marathon in 2008. In 2007 she completed the Vancouver Sprint Triathlon.
